Blackwater Electric Company, Inc. was formed in 1993 by Kimberly and David Hart for the purpose of providing industrial, commercial and government customers with full-service, licensed electrical contracting services. Through hard work and an unyielding commitment to first-class products and services, Blackwater Electric has grown from a home-based operation to our corporate headquarters in the Greenbrier section of Chesapeake, Virginia. We now employ over 199 full-time employees.

Why have customers been coming to Blackwater Electric for over seventeen (17) years? Because they can count on us. We have worked hard for our customers, building a reputation for integrity and quality since we began in 1993. Times and technology have changed, but our focus on honest service has not. That is why our relationships with clients have thrived. As word of Blackwater’s quality and dependability has spread, the scope of our operations has widened from Hampton Roads to the rest of Southeast Virginia to North Carolina and on to Florida.
